Family and consumer sciences international Competition is an annual event held by Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, IPB University. This year, the theme of the competition is “Parenting for Improving Child’s Well-Being”. It consists of creative cideo and essay competition which can be participated by domestic and overseas students.

Family and consumer sciences international Competition is an annual event held by Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, IPB University. This year, the theme of the competition is “Parenting for Improving Child’s Well-Being”. It consists of creative cideo and essay competition which can be participated by domestic and overseas students.

  1. This global competition is open to active undergraduate/diploma students from all countries.
  2. Participation can be done individually or in teams with a maximum of 3 members, coming from the same or different institutions.
  3. Each participant is only allowed to submit one work.

Participants who are allowed to take part in the Video competition are participants who have registered and completed all existing registrations

  1. Creative video is free in form (animation, opinion, vlog, short film, etc.).
  2. Creative video should provide creative and innovative ideas according to the theme of the 2ndInternational Competition on Family and Consumer Sciences.
  3. Creative video as a whole do not contain racism, pornography, violence, or other things that violate norms.
  4. All parts of the video should not violate copyright. If there is a sequence from a public video, the source must be stated.
  5. Creative videos that are included in the competition are original creative videos, never published or included in other competitions.
  6. All forms of cheating and plagiarism will result in reduced scores, disqualifications and cancellation of winners.
  7. Maximum creative video duration is 10 minutes.
  8. Minimum video resolution is 720p.
  9. The video should provide English subtitle.
  10. All video works that have been submitted are entitled to be published by the committee with still including the originalcreator’s name.
  11. The submitted work will be fully owned by the committee of the 2ndInternational Competition on Family and Consumer Sciences, accompanied by a letter of agreement (attachment 2).
  12. The judge’s decision is final and cannot be contested.
  1. The essay is original, has never won in a similar competition, and has never been published in any media.
  2. The essay should provide creative and innovative ideas in accordance with the theme of the 2ndInternational Competition on Family and Consumer Sciences.
  3. The essay does not contain racism and is supported by facts from reliable sources.
  4. The essay can be in the form of a literature review or research.
  5. The essay should be in English.
  6. All forms of cheating and plagiarism will result in reduced scores, disqualifications and cancellation of winners.
  7. Maximum number of words in the essay is 2500 words, excluding covers and references.
  8. Essay is written on A4 size paper, Times New Roman font size 12 and spacing 1.15.
  9. The layout of the side typing border is 4 cm left, right 3 cm, top 3 cm, and bottom 3 cm.
  10. Writing foreign words using italics.

  • The initial part, which includes the cover, validation sheet, originality statement sheet, and copyright transfer sheet using small roman numerals and typed in the lower right (i, ii, iii, and so on);
  • The core part to the end uses Arabic numerals and is typed in the lower right (1, 2, 3, and so on).
  1. All essay manuscripts that have been submitted are entitled to be published by the committee with still including the original author’s name.
  2. The submitted work will completely become the property of the committee for the 2ndInternational Competition on Family and Consumer Sciences, accompanied by a letter of agreement (attachment 3).
  3. The judge’s decision is final and cannot be contested.
